*NCBE Investigation Fee: Applications will be referred to the National Conference of Bar Examiners (NCBE) for verification and investigation. NCBE will contact applicants directly regarding payment and required authorization forms. Fees paid to NCBE are nonrefundable.
- Payment Options: Credit card, debit card, electronic funds transfer, or check payable to the Washington State Bar Association.
- Transaction Fees: All bank card transactions are subject to a separate non-refundable transaction fee of 2.5%. There is no transaction fee for payments by electronic funds transfer or check.
- Deadlines: No deadlines for submitting a non-exam application. Applicants have one year from the date of submitting an application to complete the admission process.
- Withdrawals & Refunds: Applicants may withdraw their application at any time. If withdrawn within one year of filing the application, applicants may receive a refund subject to a $400 nonrefundable administrative fee.

*NCBE Investigation Fee for Exam Applicants: Applications for General Applicants applying under APR 3(b)(4)(B), and all Attorney Applicants are referred to the National Conference of Bar Examiners for verification and investigation of the information in the application. NCBE investigation fees are set by the NCBE and are nonrefundable.

- Extended Deadline: May 5 (for those who failed the immediately preceding bar and LPO exam)
- Winter Bar Exam and LPO Exam Deadlines*:
- Applications accepted: September 1
- First Deadline: October 5
- Late Filing Deadline: November 5
- Extended Deadline: December 5 (for those who failed the immediately preceding bar exam only)
* In the event any filing deadlines should fall on a Saturday, Sunday, or holiday, that deadline will be extended until the end of the next business day.

- Late filing incur an additional fee.
- Exam Applications will not be accepted after the late filing deadline. except for applicants who qualify for the extended filing deadline.
- Withdrawals & Refunds: Applicants who withdraw at least 18 days before the exam are eligible for a refund of the NCBE exam fee and a partial refund of the WSBA application fee subject to a non-refundable administrative fee ($400 for Bar Exam and $100 for LPO Exam). The NCBE exam fee is refundable if withdrawn by 4:00 p.m. PT the Friday before the exam
